Dr. Judy Ho shares that one of the keys to success in staying sober is having a crisis management plan on hand. She says that you want to write down your triggering situations, negative thoughts and difficult feelings that may be triggers for you. Next to each, you want to write a way to deal with those situations, thoughts and feelings. She suggests that you also include your top 5 people and places that you can call and contact when you feel like you can’t do it alone. Dr. Morteza Khaleghi, founder of Creative Care Inc., also shares that he feels the 12-step program and having a sponsor can really help you manage your addiction and disease.
